Since you are already sold that you need a mask,I'd bet either would be fine.

My DD has worn a gameface for a couple of years and never once complained. In November at a clinic, a vendor had the Rip-it and I wanted her to try it on. I think the Rip-it looks less 'Hannibal' but when DD put it on she immediately did not like the weight.

It would probably be fine had she not been used to the gameface, but she still considers the gameface the gold standard.

Last May, our #2 batter showed bunt, then pulled back and drilled the ball. 3B was about 16 feet down the line and the ball hit the ground once and then smoked the girls gameface before she could even move her hands...no deflecting or slowing it down whatsoever. The ball ends up by the 3B dugout and the pitcher had to retrieve it. I am surprised it wasn't the end of that mask with the hit it took. Even more surprising, the girl was fine but went in to pitch later in the day with only a mouthpiece. After the game her Dad said they have to make her wear the mask and she fights it. I shart you not!
