Lost my 1st baseman

Playing in a meaningless game a couple days ago. (tournament bracket already set)My 1st baseman slid coming into home trying to avoid the catcher standing on the plate (she's tiny) and snapped her tib/fib Out for the remainder. Really bumming for her as she really wanted to play in the tourney!

Very sad. At this age, any injury seems like forever, even though the kids heal faster.

Not to diminish the importance of 1B, but now you know why coaches LOVE courtesy runners for the P and C!!!
