Looks like it was intentional to me. Lucky the runner did not get really hurt.

Definitely intentional. If it wasn't wouldn't he have been a little apologetic?

The final out in the top of the 8th was another thug play by CA. Kid running to first hit the bag with one foot and kicked the Texas F3 with the other.

Very nice restraint by the Texas coaches and team. They kept their heads and showed a lot of sportmanship throughout the game. I'm pleased we didn't see an ankle stomp on F3 after this play.

I don't know if the best team one, but the most deserving team sure did!

That play looked pretty blatant to me. The TX 1B was the same kid that hit the GS in the 1st inning.

Going into the game, I was pulling for CA (no surprise there), but in the end, I think the right team won. TX did a great job.

As for the strike zone, it looked to me like blue was calling a lot of strikes that were well off the inside of the plate - for both teams.

CA 1B was a thug for sure. I don't know how the umps missed the blatant elbow. I was always under the impression that Little League prided themselves on being better than that.

The other play at 1B with the TX player getting kicked, I'm not sure if that was intentional or just an involuntary leg movement due to the base deforming on the long leap to the bag. But Nomar did say something about that too.

I'm probably butchering the quote but somewhere I heard "sports reveals true character". No big surprise that the CA coach was asked to defend these plays...and evidently he then started to complain about the Texas pitcher touching his hair and then the ball and why it wasn't called an illegal pitch...problem is one of the CA pitchers did the exact same thing...

The bottom line is that there was no way those umpires were going to eject anybody for anything...even if two kids had to leave the field briefly with injuries...pathetic...

People making an observation about F3 being on the base without a throw coming. F3 should never be on top of the base whether the ball is coming or not.

But the umpire missed every part of that play including an OBS call.
