Do you ever practice for imperfect ground surfaces?
Meaning is it a good idea to mess up the landing area and start adjusting your pitching motion for this anomaly? The adjustments I am thinking of off-hand are starting at a different spot on the rubber, and jumping out a shorter distance.

Messed up landing area causes injuries.

Not Just landing on a surface that might be able to get dug out and cleared out better with cleat scratching. But specifically having to change stride lengths. Is not healthy on the body.

Yes, we have practiced on imperfect services, less than ideal conditions and stressful scenarios. I am not a fan of having them shorten the stride. It has seemed easier to adjust working from a lightly different spot and the rubber and landing slightly off to the side but sometimes the crater developing out front just gets wider real fast.
