Cannon and HS--the question was whether a *parent* should talk to the player, not whether a coach should talk to the player.

There's a sophomore on the HS Varsity team who is also on my U16 LL team. I have been hearing from DD and another kid that this girl who was always kind of quiet gas turned into a complainer/Debbie downer. Whenever one if the other players asks her for help with the equipment she always blows them off. When another player is having trouble at bat or boots a ball in the field, she is quick to dump on her.

Right now you have the perfect heads-up for your LL team this summer. Keep an eye on her and see what transpires in HS this summer. If you see early signs of it on your LL team then it's time to act on her attitude when you're her coach. Until then you should leave the team be.

The worst thing for a HS age team is when parents get involved with team drama. Unless it is bullying of a player by another/other teammate(s).
