Wasserman's backward throwing should do the trick. When you teach them something totally new they don't have any bad habits to start with. Start with tennis balls so it's easy for them to get their arms up, then baseballs then softballs. It should translate to forward throwing. I think it's great for developing whip too (for pitching)
