Home to First Time - "Measured from First Step"

They claim laser timed. My thought is difference between first movement. That the laser it is catching shoulders or torso like a half step. Closer to stealing second than home to first?

Perhaps. I have no idea about the specifics of the laser timing. That said the actual time doesn't matter as long as the laser timed results are consistently measured as they are just using them for comparison. For example I wouldn't be comfortable comparing my kid's hand timed result to somebody else's laser timed result.

You could have 3 coaches hand timing home to 1st or catchers pop time and they will have 3 different times. Sometimes as much as 3 or 4 tenths diffence. Hand time is subject to human error.
