I have 15 girls on my 12 u fall ball team. dugout is too small to begin with for all of them, let alone with all their stuff spread all over... does anyone have a design or picture for a portable fence rack or...? that they can hang helmets on....? I cant get the parents to drop $20 on one of the hook systems, but if I could make one, I would do that...

This is the one we use. It is $200+ (you can find it cheaper than from their website) but worth every cent. Mine is 3 years old and has gone through many, many teams and though it is dirty, it is still showing no signs of issues.

I haven't tripped over any equipment since I bought it and everyone knows where their stuff is at all times.

Maybe you could build something similar.

We use a key chain snap, cheap and easy. Hang the bags on the outside of the dugout and hang the helmets inside. Of course only works with chain link fences, but 90% of the fields use them.

My daughter had to come up with an invention for her 7th grade class. Here is her invention:

I'm right here.
To store bats, arrange sections of cut pvc pipe in a bucket or a milk crate. Bats slip in the pvc pipe...gets em off the ground and off the fence.
