Glove Advice

My daughter is 15 and just starting her freshman softball season. She plays shortstop and is using a 12" Wilson A2K FPAW, which she has used for the last 2 seasons of travel. She is looking for a new glove to get it broken in for next year. We are looking at the Wilson A2000BB1787 11.75" and Mizuno GGE60FP 11.5". Her A2K is a great glove. She does not want anything larger than the A2K and is not real keen on the velcro. But sometimes, we think to just get another A2K FPAW, as it has served her well.

Any advice or thoughts will be appreciated...thanks!

Do any of your girls use a Wilson A2000 or A2K baseball glove for middle infield in fastpitch?

I do not think I would use a baseball glove. The pocket is different for SB gloves.

This might be the last glove your DD will ever need. I would look at the Nokona. It will take her a little while to break it in but will last her forever.

Could not agree more. There are easy ways to break the Nokona in - and when ready to use there is no better glove made.

My oldest DD uses a 12" A2K and loves it, and also plays SS, she's used it for the last 3 years ....shes a junior now was thinking of getting her a Vincy Glove for her next and final glove.

Nokona or Vinci. I would highly recommend either one....especially if your DD continues to play through college.

Yep! Bite the bullet and pay $250+ and it will last her through college and eventually as a coach for her kids!

Hard to go wrong with Nokona or Vinci, especially after your DD is done growing.

Nokona! Have been using their products for the last 20 years. Best glove out there. Hands down.
