ounce or a little more of Dawn dish washing soap into a spray bottle, spray liberally front and back, rinse with garden hose on full spray or use a pressure washer being careful not to hit the pads to hard. I use a pressure washer on fan spray and hold back on it. Let air dry.

sportswash. Its in a bright orange bottle and usually sold near running clothing or in the hunting section of sporting goods stores. it rinses completely out and won't leave residue (soap residue combines with sweat will make stink worse). Our shin pads come out and are easy to wash, If the padding doesn't come out of the gear, or its the chest protector, then make a bottle of the sportswash mixed with water and lay everything in the driveway and douse it ...even feel free to rub the soap in. Then hose down till there are no more bubbles coming out and lay in the sun to dry

If you have any friends who's kids play hockey, ask them for suggestions, because hockey equipment smells HORRIBLE!!! As a last resort try some Fabreeze after washing and allowing to sun dry.
