I'd be curious to hear javasource's thoughts on her drive...
Here is a drill for a powerful push.
I'd say there's a solid 5 mph waiting for her...
Constructively speaking... I don't see as much positive change in the before/after. As a pitcher, Camille has some really great traits... for sure.
I'd like to see her work on her drive... not by leaving this site, either.
For starters, she loads by sitting. I'd fix that. Get a wider stance and send that weight rearward.
Keep that stride leg heel down until that drive foot is ready to rock & roll.
Speaking of... her stride leg is swinging her body forward more than her drive leg is pushing her body forward. You can really see this if you watch her body move through space. She has her stride leg out considerably... before her drive leg is really pushing.
To fix this... firm up that drive foot... push from a heel-up position... and don't be afraid to have the drive foot strike the front of the rubber to get it to push sooner/harder.
Posture is decent... but would be better if she got her knee out as a priority over her foot. She's currently using a foot out/foot down method... versus knee out, foot down.
drc's comment on the glove arm ELBOW is spot on. Notice how she has a T-Rex glove arm in the front half of the circle. I could care less about glove swim... but I do look at the glove elbow. If she focused on sending the elbow out... the shoulder line would be allowed to open. After that (like 2 or 3 o'clock), I don't pay any attention to what the glove arm does.
CamillesDad... check out the Pushback Drill video I recently posted on the Drive Mechanics sticky. If you get her using those points in her current pitch... AND... get her glove arm ELBOW out more to the target... your hand will never feel the same.
