Just ordered my third Vinci from Casedawg...he's the man! Any Vinci will give you well over 3 years of use, though some will take a while to break in, especially for a 9 year old.

What size or model is suggested for a girl of that age?
Aaaand I just ordered my fourth Vinci from Casey. The AB74-VM (13" OF glove) was so nice I had to order an RCV-VM (12.5") for my younger daughter. These go along with the JCV-VM and JCV-22 they use for catching.
Tarheel, I would suggest a 12" or 12.5" for a 9 year old, depending on her primary position. Vinci makes a number of gloves that fit the bill.

The 12 inch Fortus would be a good model for a couple years as she grows and ultimately transitions into a higher level glove at 12u.

Pretty sharp looking Case... I may try to find somewhere where I can put my eyes and hands on one to actually see and feel it before I make a purchase.

That might be hard to do. If quality/cost is your main concern, there's no better value than a Vinci IMO.
