Anyone else buy Champro Optimus Pro leg guards for their daughter and have the metal rings and latch/clip rust? DD has had a pair since May and already the rings and clip have rusted. She says they are really comfortable and they have taken a beating this summer, but rust already??? Maybe I left her catching bag on the covered back porch too often, but still it shouldn't have rusted I wouldn't think. We have not had any issues like this with Rawlings or Louisville Slugger guards. I had a pair of Champro leg guards I used when umpiring long ago and they rusted, but it took several years. Just curious.
