Assessment of DD's swing

Hello, I'm looking for an honest assessment of my 11 yr old DD's swing. She's "new" to softball (about a year). She plays travel basketball on a 14u basketball team. Recently, she wanted to try softball because she was bored. Well....she was hooked after playing. She said "I love it more than basketball! It's now my passion!" Haha. So, I thought I'd come here to get some advice to help her out. She hits really well for her team. But, there's always room for improvement!

Well, first off, I think she should hold on to that bat a bit longer with her right hand. She lets go way too early. She's also doing the "squish the bug" thing with her back foot.

I dunno, I guess you'll get plenty from the hitting experts here if you can get them to chime in.

She looks very explosive and athletic. Right now she swings from the top down she will need to learn to swing from the bottom up.

Have her coil and turn the barrel. That should fix the issues right away.

What do you mean by swing from the bottom up? Turn the hips first?

Does she have a mental image of the swing having the barrel level with the ground through contact?

Her swing is powered by her arms swinging around her torso (top), rather than being powered by the firing of her rear hip (bottom)
