Lenski, that is an awesome picture man. Good thing the blue called it right. I bet in real time that would have been extremely hard to see. Your DD had only a fraction of a second on that one.

It's amazing the quality difference of the digital pics over the last six years. The pic of my dd was shot with a very expensive Nikon....top of the line for its day. We had a mom who was a professional photogragher. She would take thousands of pictures with that thing.

As far as the catchers helmet, she has been taught to keep it on when the ball is in play. She must have thought it was a pop-up. I'm not sure though since that play occurred a while ago.....

Somehow, I don't have a picture of DD (Jadier) catching.

This photo is about 6 years old. We were 12U. The story goes: Runner on 3rd; 1 out. Fly ball foul down the first base line. 2B catches the ball in foul territory about 10 feet foul and about 10 feet past first base. The runner on 3rd tags, the 2B spins and throws the ball home. The ball was thrown to the first base side of home plate. My dd catches the ball and spins back towards the field to apply the tag. Double play, game over, we won 5-4.

He is in 8th grade and only about 5' tall. Heck of a running back, though.
