Good day at the old ball park.... No parent or coach drama, just a bunch of kids having fun.
My DGD caught today. Basesloaded, and the batter hit one back to the pitcher. The pitcher picked it up and threw to DGD. DGD miraculously caught the ball, then promptly fell face first into the dirt. As the runner at 3B bore down on her, She started rolling around trying to get up. She accidentally touched home plate, microseconds before the runner got there.
Later, my DGD was playing 3B. Runners at 1B and 2B. The ball is hit to DGD...and amazingly she fields it. She goes to tag the runner....and the runner takes off for RF, with my DGD in hot pursuit. (My DGD runs like a thundering wildebeest (props to @RADcatcher for accurately describing the running stylings of a catcher).
Then the coaches go charging into RF trying to catch them....great fun.
