My daughter loves her ghost. (Thank You Core). It’s a 34” and she’s having much success with it. So now she needs a 34” USSSA approved bat. Not sure if she is going to wait on the Ghost and use her 33” Xeno, or if we are going to purchase a USSSA approved 34” bat before Spring.
That I cant answer right now. I would assume since the drop11 ASA Ghost is scheduled for March, that when the USSSA version releases, all weights
would come out
The funny thing is, I have 3 players with the ASA Ghosts. We won't play USSSA because of it this year....or maybe it's because I don't like the new State Director nor her Father...can't remember now.
I had an interesting weekend with the Ghost. I had a girl on my team who had a ghost and I didn't notice. We were playing a USSSA tournament and she goes up to hit. The umpire didn't notice either but after she hit someone said something. The umpire came over between innings and told me she has to put it in her bag and if he sees it again we are both going to be ejected. Fine. She put it away and that was that.
The next game a girl on the other team is hitting with one. In between innings I went to the umpire to let him know and he says Ghost's are legal. The funny thing was they way he said it to me. Like what are you talking about? Of course she can use it. I told him an hour ago you threatened to eject me for having one. He says he got a call between games and now they are legal.
Strange. I assume that wasn't a USSSA decision but maybe a local house rule decision? Not sure if it will be legal next tournament or not. It's another USSSA tournament but with the same tournament director.
