When the catcher doesn't believe in you or trust you

Since you do this drill with a net or screen behind, you can also try something even easier with a catcher, once they are warm simply have them pitch 3 each high inside and outside and low inside and outside (still all in the strike zone). If they can't hit better than half you are wasting your time calling pitches anyway. These drills can also help identify if pitchers are better at hitting certain spots than others. If they were 0 of 3 on low and inside but 3 of 3 high and outside and are consistently getting those type of numbers it indicates an area they need to work on.

Finally we also made fun games with all the pitchers for this drill...for instance have them try to hit a softball off the tee and throw strikes to a basketball without touching it.

Even if your DD couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, this is a catcher problem. I'd talk to the coach about pitching to the other catcher.
