He seems to show I/R and in one of the videos even mentions brush interference. The thing I'm wondering is if he is correct or if there is some merit in his idea of not striding out too far. He says to turn the pivot foot as soon as possible and anchor it at the same time as the plant foot. He has a good reputation in Texas.

here's one where he talks about brush interference.
one where he talks about getting the pivot foot turned and down early

I couldn't watch them all, but I really liked his pitchers that were driving forward and getting their weight back before he was trying to get them to pre-turn and lean forward.

And just what are we trying to do with that basketball:confused:

CLUELESS........

Advocates brush interference to fix posture? That's completely bass-ackwards........

Advocates pointing both feet backwards and kicking her butt out mid-stride???

Says the 14yo who points her feet backwards and leans way over the front foot to throw is "the best pitcher in the metro-plex"........I would be bragging about that......

Posture will be an ongoing issue with his students... as he's encouraging a movement that creates bad posture. As will brush. If that girl uses brush... her front knee is going to be toast.

I was really fond of him trying to get pitchers to do things that my DD has been taking out of her motion. One girl was nicely driving off the rubber but he wanted her to do some weird back foot spinning thing and push off a sideways foot to get some back foot traction on landing... That was weird.

And they all leap. Every single one of them. I loved it when he pauses them with both feet clearly off the ground and ignores it to talk about knee bends and foot positioning. Never mentions it. Not one mention about how that might be something that needs to be fixed.

I am also fond of the huge leap and recover to the left of the power line. They all do this as well, so I am assuming he is teaching it.

Ok - that said I am sure he has had success. Some of these girls are clearly athletes, and athletes can naturally adjust even when they are being asked to do something that isn't necessarily natural. There is some small good here as well - at least we are talking about some form of arm whip and some of his other terminology could possibly be a different way of saying some of the same things often said here. It isn't much, but at least he isn't going the HE route.

I've seen girls with similar motions in college - the recent thread with Texas pitcher Erica Wright GIFs shows a similar type motion.

There is a girl in the area here that does many of the same things and must be being taught that way! Looks almost identical. Should see the curve ball looks like 3 totally seperate motions. Then she tells my daughter that her back and shoulder always hurts after throwing allot. UH cant imagine why.
