My 12 year old has started to slide her front foot before pitch drive. I'm sure it's illegal. Maybe I could put a small device on the front to not let her move forward with it (ironic timing - see Cals flapper pitcher post) or maybe I could look for suggestions from this group on drills or technique to fix it.

Thanks in advance.

Invest in a pitcher's plate. It's not fair to judge her off of a flat gym floor.

Edit: and turn your phone on its side next time ;)

Is Your Pre-motion Hurting Your Pitch? Find out if you're fake-loading - This makes perfect logic. Move load from back foot (fake load video) to 100% front foot (real load video) that way she can't come off the rubber. We'll give it a try.

I like the previous posts.

They can get into bad habits pitching in the gym that they need to break when they get back on a field. I would also get a pitching plate, you can duct tape it down if you want to, but a plate would be nice.
