Innings pitched and games played at 10U

Looking through some of the major tournaments the other day I looked up a couple of the teams websites and came upon a team that had played 95 games this spring and summer. It got me thinking, so I checked and as my DD completes her spring and summer season this Monday she will have played in 82 games and 130 innings pitched as an 8U playing up in Rec and TB. Just wondering what other pitchers playing 10U have found to be a good inning total for the spring/summer season.

The number of games and innings are a bit smaller up in the Midwest. Hard to pitch when there is snow on the field.

DD didn't play any rec league games until the day before Mothers' Day, and her first tournament was a long time after that. So, even the older girls don't see that many innings.

She was just starting to pitch her last year at 10u. She had about 7 innings in rec league altogether, but that was playing up in 12u. She pitched in one 10u tournament, had 8 innings, and was injured and couldn't pitch again until fall ball. She had a few more innings in scrimmages, but less than 20 total. A lot more this year, but again, even as a 12u she didn't see nearly the kind of innings a 10u pitcher will in more temperate climates.

Also realize that it snowed during the first game of rec ball last year, just before Mothers' Day. Granted, it was about 30 seconds of flurries, but that says something about the difficulty in trying to get in a lot of innings before summer.

I'm guessing about 160 innings from April until now.

I call our team a TB lite team. We played 33 games and my daughter pitched 83 innings.

My daughter played between 70-80 games this spring/summer at 10u. She doesn't pitch so no innings to report.

My team played 49 games and I would estimate (would need to look back at stats to figure it out) but would guess my top pitchers got 120-140 innings on the year. I used 4 pitchers
