Sluggers, please let this post stand for a while so everyone can read it. I sent personal emails to Sluggers and Boardmember to warn them that arguing with X Pitcher is going to be futile. And now it's time to do the same for everyone. I have debated for a while about whether to post this since I'm not really posting on here anymore but it's gotten out of hand. I'm getting text messages and emails from avid followers of this forum about "X Pitcher" and I wanted to address you all. Obviously what he writes is not something I can control so, I'm not sure an "apology" is warranted by me but still...

X Pitcher has been or is currently on every forum he can find. His rhetoric is the same every time:

1. ASA rules, ISC ruins the game of men's fastpitch.
2. 2 feet on the rubber is better and 1 foot on the rubber is horrible.
3. Peel drop is everything.
4. Back arm swing is bad because girls are not "hiding the ball".

He mentions me (and now Doug Gillis) in all his posts which makes us look like idiots. He doesn't care about this or care what you all think of him. *** [Y]ou all all better off "blocking" him because he will not listen to any of you and will just go on with what he says over and over. I have asked him COUNTLESS times on COUNTLESS websites to stop mentioning my name and he refuses to stop. It's easy to think he is a "fan" of mine because he is always talking about my coaching but, in the end his constant references are rude and condescending which end up making ME look bad. I have NOTHING to do with this goofball. I have never even met him.

As is always the case, now that I've PUBLICLY asked him to stop mentioning me in his rants, he will turn his poison to me and rip into me.

He truly 'gets off' on this type of behavior and everyone is just playing into his hands by arguing with him. He does this on every forum he can get on until they finally block his IP address. Sooner or later, the moderators will block his IP address again and he'll have to find another outlet for his insanity. I just hope you folks don't take this out on me. I would recommend you all block him so his posts won't come through. Even the entertainment value of his ramblings will get old very quickly very soon.

I appreciate you and your contributions to softball. You have knowledge, you know how to teach and you are willing to share. Everyone here values your contributions. Thanks again for all your work with teaching.

As an aside: I'm from Naperville, which is right next to Aurora. I still have friends who played softball in the Harvey Sterkel era. Aurora has a rich softball history. In addition to the the Sealmasters (a world class team at the time), there were also many men's fastpitch leagues of varying quality in the area. Not everyone guy who played fastpitch in the 1960s and 1970s was good at it.

If it makes you feel any better, anyone who has ever read or watched anything you've put out can tell you have nothing to do with him. You're Pitching clinic #1, widely available on YouTube, pretty much disagrees with every troll like statement that comes out of his mouth. I know it's not fun to have him try to associate himself with you, but your reputation won't allow him to bring you down.

Thanks for all you have done and hopefully continue to do, I know my DD is a better pitcher because of it.

Bill - if you do come on read this - your DVD's are awesome, your YouTube lessons/clinics outstanding and my DD and other kids are better pitchers because of them despite never having the opportunity to meet you in person. Thanks.

Good to see you on the site again!
As far as X Pitcher goes... his moronic post discrediting Jordan Taylor was all I needed to see from him to realize what he's about.

I agree with James, I understand why you left, but wish you would consider posting now and then with your knowledge.....when you can. You're a role model for a lot of parents and girls, your wisdom is valuable because you are still active in the game.

You have to take the bad with the good, and reread the ones that were over you head or the ones you unwillingness to understand. Sorry all my thoughts aren't simple.
