If a knuckle ball with no spin hops in every direction why does science say a man can't make a rise ball hop/jump up?

I agree the women's FP world has never seen a rise ball hop and never will from a female throwing a ball from 43' at ~70 mph.

But I have seen a few male pitchers from 46' at ~ 85 mph with back spin into (who knows what the wind speed was but) around a 10 mph wind, make a 12" softball HOP/JUMP up at the last fraction of a second.

I know this has been argued over and over that it only drops slower than a drop ball...Think about it some more. If a knuckle ball with no spin and no wind can hop crazy like why can't a rise ball hop/jump/rise?

How about you Hal? They female FP world wants video for prof. There is no video that I can produce, but I have seen a rise ball hop.

Some people talk about drops without knowing the difference in a peel drop and a roll over drop. A drop is not for granted.

Softball is made more complicated than it should be...It is so simple if you think about it. Situations repeat over and over again and again. Two top notch teams don't score many earned runs against each other. It's a pitchers game and always will be.

X pitcher,

Most of the open minded people who follows this site, will ask for one thing, poof. Make us all true believers, show us what you speak of . This day in age it is not enough to say you saw something happen. We need to see it for ourselves to become true followers. We are on this site because most of us were looking for the truth. I'm here to learn what is really taking place.

Re: knuckle ball from the sometimes correct Wikipedia:
"The lack of spin causes vortices over the stitched seams of the baseball [or softball] during its trajectory, which in turn can cause the pitch to change direction..."
(emphasis and bracketed insertion is mine)

Since a riseball is supposed to have spin, your statement about "science" is scientifically flawed. Although I suppose you could throw a high knuckle ball.

Yes. I threw many 'Flat fingered knuckleballs' that would jump up at any point in the flight. I also had one get halfway to the plate and hang a 90-degree turn and roll into foul territory between home and third.. EXTREMELY unpredictable if there was ANY wind or gusts at all.

My catchers HATED my knuckleball, they mostly refused to call it most of the time.

I could throw it fast, slow or off speed and it always danced,,, but you never knew where to.

A pitcher for one of the teams I played for would throw a knuckle that looked like a wiffle ball coming. We would warm up our arms as a team and he thought it was funny to make whoever ended up as his partner look stupid and have to chase down balls.

My DD had what I called a "knuckeless" knuckleball, that would dance when thrown on breezy days. She also had a great rise. The only time I was ever hit in the face was by her knuckleball, never her rise.

I said no female could make a rise ball jump and few men could make one hop.
Hal did you ever think your rise ball jumped into a 10mph wind at 80 mph?
