I thought you guys may enjoy this. Please keep in mind, this is not the open class level of men's fastpitch or anything even close. But it's still a very cool story.

Thanks. I didn't know about her. I searched her name and found that she is Debby, not Debbie.

And she has a daughter.

Very cool story. How many other sports can claim adults who can maintain a high level of skill in the amateur ranks?

I had the opportunity to bat against a pitcher who is in her early 30's and still holds numerous state records from her high school days in Illinois. It is to this day one of my most memorable softball experiences and it makes me smile every time I think about it.

She was basically demonstrating pitches, fast curve rise and change... Omg I could not lay off that change... I had some weak contact a couple times but the rise and change just seemed impossible to get a bat on.. I don't know if rise balls really rise but I couldn't touch it.
