Bagwell's center of gravity upon load is the center of gravity of his launch. He powers in a phone booth. Now tell me, where does he shift?

You can see a fans left leg(blue jeans) in the stands behind Bags left hip. . After He lifts His front leg His pelvis shifts and can be seen by most of that leg in blue jeans disappearing.
Subtle, but it's there. You're right, He does swing in a phone booth but he also shifts.

.. i say the scapula is reactive to another force, not a director.

You will not understand a punch to the ball, if you do not know the significance of the scapula. When it loads, the rhomboids contract. It creates a STRETCH to the large thoracic muscles called the SERRATUS ANTERIOR. For every action, there is a reaction.

The SERRATES ANTERIOR is called BOXER’S MUSCLE for a reason.

Anybody have a Griffey Jr. clip to post?. All the hitter examples posted so far are big, strong, power hitters. IMO, the role and importance of sequence and hands are better illustrated in the hitters whose power is more the result of near perfect mechanics rather than muscle. Given that, although the biomechanical movements may be accurate, TBao's mechanical representation implies to me a swing that is directly powered by muscle motor. Pendulums and whips better impart the concept and importance of proper sequencing IMO.

FFS - as far as hands go, without proper sequencing, even smart hands aren't very helpful

I am need of a GJ gif,

I agree with the bolded. Especially the reaction part....Most see the reactive action and try to create that action as a force. It's a mistake.
IE Scapular Priming...

I just look at Baggs feet. You see a weighted back foot and un-weighted front foot in the first frames, then the weight shifts just before/after contact. Simple weight shift.

Im trying to understand scap pinch. I believe muscles only create force by contracting.
