When you say coiled or compact are you talking about what some call "vertical loading" or to use a clip, the angles Soriano sets up here with his upper leg and torso etc? Photo 11 of 31, Analysis

Is so, I agree many hitters lack this.

They had me put it in my right hand. I bat righty. Then, they kept saying "skip a rock". Ha. I am 55 and this was in front on 125 other coaches. Twice, I couldn't do it. Keep the wrist in front of the elbow and it is more like snapping my fingers. My elbow is toward my waist and my hand was lower than my elbow.

This is my issue with the skip a rock cue. Skipping a rock is throwing. Throwing is forming a loop with the arm to deliver force to the ball or rock. Forming a loop means the elbow must lead which is casting/bat drag. Maybe Don just couldn't come up with a better cue for what he was trying to get across here. :(

using the chucker

when using the chucker i use both hands and use it like a bat. The idea behind the chucker is you will have to use your legs and core muscle to get the tennis ball out of the infield. If you have a player that has a casting problem. They will have to get the back elbow tucked in and the the front elbow to come up and they will have to have some tilt on there back shoulder to get the ball to line drive. What i have them do is set up at the plate have them simulate that they are going to hit a line drives up the middle, by up the middle i use from where the short stop plays to where the 2nd baseman plays. The ball has to be on a line drive and the goal is to hit the grass. One of the things u will see the first couple of times is the ball will come out immediately to the right. So do not have anyone or anything standing to the right. I'm gonna try to post some video, the key word is (try) here. I put the videos on you tube, they are under iamswingdr, I have more videos, i will put them up when I get time. If u have any other questions you can email me or give me a call anytime 608-931-1753

So I am upfront about who I am, I wanted to be clear that I am an owner of one of what has turned out to be one of the main distributing companies of the Insider bat. I think its important to know that we have sold thousands of the Hitting Tool known as the Insider bat. Out of these thousands we have a less than .01 return percentage. In otherwords. The satisfaction level on this product is pretty close to %100 percent.

These are a wide range of users from High School coaches all the way to your typical coach dad or mom..

Clearly any device or coaching method is not for everyone. Typically a coach or tool is showing a player basics or certain fundamental methods for hitting with the main goal of making them better or motivating them to succeeed..

I challange you to find a hitting method, coach tool or even a professional instructional youtube video that will have everyone agreeing is perfect..

If you want to see feedback from direct end users of the product checkout ebay or Amazon. These are customers of the product period. In otherwords , folks like you that have a vested interest in developing their player. You can also take a look at some of the very reputable coaches nationwide that have written unsolicited (Non paid for) testimonials..

personally we also have a program where we hand products to youth & high school coaches and ask them to grade the products purely on usability. In otherwords (Does it work for you & do you like it) The Insider bat always passes with high praise..

Does every single person always feel that way.. They never do... but the Insider bat has given us a lot of good feedback and a lot of thank you's from folks all over the country...

Have you ever considered coming out with more than a one size fits all tool?. Maybe a small med and large? Comparable to the most standard bat sizes? Kids dont all swing the same sized bat why should they be expected to train that way.

I have no vested interest in the insider bat, though I do own one, but it does come in different sizes for different age groups.

Personally I like it as an additional tool. A local travel ball coach turned me on to it in one of his hitting clinics for coaches. He used it at two of his hitting stations - tee and soft/front toss. He was a former college ball player and at the time his team ranked #1 in power and #3 in AVE in CA for U14 age group.

It may not be for everyone but in my opinion it does help promote staying inside the ball with the swing and as another tool to work with in the arsenal I kind of like it. But that's just my opinion.

Then it may be a better option. The size we were given to try may have worked for a 10u but was no where close to being the right size for a teen or adult. Maybe at that time different sizes were not an option this was a few years back.

I bought my 3 years ago at the time I think it came in 4 different sizes and yes there is a larger one for teen/adult than the 10U size.
I think it comes in sizes 5-8 with 5 being for 4-7 year olds and 8 being for teen/adults/larger hand. Though their website porbably has more details about specific sizes.

It may be that you just had a small one from someone that didn't fit your girls hands; I could see where that would be frustrating.

we got one last year for our 14u travel team. i love it as an additional tool we use it with both soft toss and tee work. it really helped our girls who had a loop in their swing by forcing their hands inside
