I am looking for something to help my daughter with her overhand throwing motion. The biggest problem she seems to be having with it is she is dropping her elbow as she is coming through with her throw. I need some help, it really seems to be holding her back. Thanks

Try using a baseball, so that she can effectively get a 4 seam grip. Then, hang a stuffed animal that is annoying, on the fence. Put her about 20 feet away from the target and keep encouraging her to turn, load, get the elbow above the shoulder, shift her weight back , point glove at target and throw. The throw part, is a little complicated, but if you are on her right, just have her mimic you. She will be surprised how far she can throw. Then, she will move back in increments.

How old is she, and how is her catching ?

Something that helped my DD was to have her throw and I stand on the throwing side with a foam pool "noodle". Extend the noodle just below shoulder level and prompt her to not hit the noodle with her elbow. It'll give that instant feedback and give her the feel of staying on top of the ball. Then if you see her regress outside of the drill, you can say, "Should I get the noodle out?"

Also stress coming across the body on the follow through. That's harder to do if she's dropping the elbow.

She is almost 8. She has a pretty good glove, her throwing seems to really be holding her back and it is very frustrating for her. She really beats herself up when she makes a mistake.

That is common. And it is really common among my pitchers. Get some video of her and let her see how she is letting her elbow drop down into a V. She wants her arm at more of an L, like she is raising her hand in class.

Perfect time to do it right. DD got caught up in playing on a team at 8, but we spent that winter afterwards focusing on throwing and catching. Made a sock ball for throwing in the house. Here is what it looked like when we started...

Quincy, What is the story on the throw-max?? She already wants to kill me this afternoon for the pool noodle trick.

The throw max is effective. You get your dd to try it. Then you force her to use it once more. After that when ever she drops her elbow, threaten to get it out. Problem fixed.
