Good info on the Slapper in this thread. By reading this I think I was just talked myself in to buying DD one for Christmas lol. Her at bats are divided pretty evenly between bunts, slaps, and swings. Now that they are down to $150 pretty much everywhere I think it's worth a try. I wonder how the pop and feel compares to her LXT.

My DD will not touch anything but a Demarini so be careful that yours may hate everything that does not say LXT. I can say from my experience of hitting balls to our outfielders in practice the ball jumps off of the slapper. I had bought the next size up over the summer because it was a good deal and have used it a little to break it in.

I seen that at SPC a few weeks ago. I think the only size that is $139 is like a 34/24 or something. If you pick a different size it adds $20 to the price.

I have one stashed for Christmas for DD right now. She has been using an LXT for a couple years but demo'ed a slapper at a tourney a while back and LOVED it. She is on the smaller side for an almost 13 yr old (76 lbs and 4'11"). She has been focusing hard on slapping now that we are in the off season. She did a little bit of slapping in the fall and was actually pretty productive. She has hit a couple in the park HRs (swinging away) - so she has the ability to hit, but she will probably never be a power hitter, and she's a natural lefty and fast - so slapping makes sense. She loves surprising the defense with a nice slap too. She has been begging for this bat for a while so I think she'll be pretty excited.

Well I now have a 32/22 slapper sitting in my office lol. I'm a sucker for a good deal. I bought it with the intention of her to grow into it and start using it middle of next year. To me it feels so balanced that it probably won't feel much different than her 31/21 LXT, so she might start swinging it this winter.

I did the same thing. My DD is swinging a 31/21 but last summer I found a 32/22 for $150 and grabbed it. She carries it in her bag and has used it a few times against pitcher with a lot of off speed stuff.
