She asked if a batter hits a linedrive and the fielder catches the ball before it hits the ground and the fielders glove falls off the fielders hand but the ball stays inside the glove. Is it still a out?

I have never seen the above scenario ever happen. I was not expecting that question from a 7u player. lol.

Watching a 12U tourney about a month ago and the LF makes a diving catch, slams into the permanent fence. Glove comes off but the ball is secured in the glove still. Call was that the fielder had possession of the ball. My guess was that she had possession long enough before the glove came off the hand. A line drive that removes the glove might be a different call as the glove would be coming off the hand earlier.

I'm right here.
I believe the batter is not out. There are rules against throwing your glove, hat, etc. at the ball to stop it; I would figure this would fall into that category. But I will let the experienced umpires give the official ruling.

Good question though!

"To establish a valid catch, the fielder shall hold the ball long enough to prove control of and or that the release of the ball is voluntary" If this was met then it's a catch. If not it isn't. ASA rules

That's a live ball, not an out in all associations. The detached equipment becomes part of the playing field and the ball may as well be on the ground.
