    Is there any drills besides the obvious of just pitching slower to them in the cage to help with them adjusting their timing to hit slower pitching? Seems like everyone has this problem but no solutions.

    This is her season stats we play good competition all the time, no trophy chasing.

    .626 FPS. So I guess that's not too bad,she's pitched 44 innings so far this year

    The reason I asked is the coach seems to call quite a few pitch outs for first pitches and it gets the pitcher behind right from the get go. Just seems wrong knowing even a lot of the better hitting teams take the first pitch.

    Same here we practice 2 speeds but still struggle with the shower pitching. Will it get better with age? She is 11.

    And the parents on that team were quick to defend it. Said it was our fault for not teaching our kids to stay in the box. We will learn from it but it still pisses me off every time I watch it.

    That would be great but where we live it's 20 degrees. As far as getting hurt she will use a jugs ball that is the same size and weight as a real ball just a little softer so if it get hit right back at her.
