what happened to the miken freak bat?
Went with the 32 in drop 10 NXT...was cheaper and we do need the USSSA stamp (not much but will play some). Thanks for the help!- fastpitchtwinz

what happened to the miken freak bat?
They have the FX700 (white), I think, and that's perfect...it's 32 in and 22 oz. They also have a NXT (gold) that's 33 in and 23 oz but a tad too heavy. The white FX700 22 oz Freak is perfect and I can only find one seller on ebay and it's pricey. Not sure if I should bite the bullet or try...- fastpitchtwinz

what happened to the miken freak bat?
We've had a couple Freaks and LOVE them. My girls were just told, yesterday, that their bat cannot be used in their HS games due to it being 'too damaged'. So we're looking to get a new one...exact same as current one (32 in drop 10). Can't find them...and Miken site only has Rev Ex and Triad...- fastpitchtwinz

What possess's an A team to enter a B tournament?
In our USSSA 12U 'B' States last weekend there was 1 'A' team, but they were a 10U team who had signed up for 10U 'A' States that got canceled because only 2 teams signed up...so they were allowed to enter the 12U 'B' States. It was double elim and they lost game 1 and game 2...so no big deal...- fastpitchtwinz

Both are great responses. The only thing is...should my DH let our parents know that he won't be managing this team next year? And their best buddy on the team is moving up to 14U and our org doesn't have a 14U select team, so she'll be going elsewhere (her dad is 1 of our coaches...we asked him to stay and form a 14U team that our DDs could play on as well as playing on the 12U...we'd do 7 tourneys for each...- fastpitchtwinz

I said I did not expect any kind of athletic scholarship but an academic 1... if a school wants a girl for their ball team, they'll find an academic scholarship to give them, even if it is a small amount. We currently do travel (2 weekend tourneys out of town and 1 week long Worlds in Orlando)...- fastpitchtwinz

Lozza-My girls do have a love for the game and want to play all the time and we are currently doing a light travel/select ball team that only costs @ $250-350 less than the 'A' team that is recruiting them. So not enough savings to forfeit possbility of partial scholarship. Pride-I agree.- fastpitchtwinz

They would choose to stay and have fun playing with their friends. But I feel it's the time for us to make the decision for them. Here is why...I know I will probably get blasted. I will try to make this short. Let me give you some abbreviated history. My twin girls started playing softball in first grade. We moved out of state when they were in third grade. We then signed them up for rec ball through the local community sports organization. My DH became good friends...- fastpitchtwinz
