Trying to learn IR - how far do I have to go?

JS, just looked at your profile. 6-4-3=2... Math joke on a double play? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Trying to learn IR - how far do I have to go?

Hi again! To answer your question, I'm trying to learn so I can teach my students. As badly as I want to, I can only laugh at the thought of going back to play college. 30 pounds was easy to gain... Not so easy to lose, ya know? Lol. I miss the game incredibly but to be honest, I got pounded in...

Trying to learn IR - how far do I have to go?

So, sluggers, in short... What do I need to fix? Rotate the forearm even more? I'm not completely understanding. I'm sorry. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Trying to learn IR - how far do I have to go?

I see. I love how much this forum can teach you if you know where to look. I've always been taught "close the hips" or to "end square with your target." Or as you guys would see it, finish 90°. With that said, I should finish half of that... Almost facing third instead of home, since I'm a...

I'm back again! Location for screw ball

On average, 53. Hardest pitch was 55. Keep in mind I'm only 5'1. [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm back again! Location for screw ball

We used the Revfire in college. As a freshman with my screw, my RPS numbers stayed around 19-21. It wasn't that great compared to my other pitches, especially my curve (got about 23), but it definitely screwed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm back again! Location for screw ball

I didn't throw my hips nearly as much as I should have. I relied more on spin. One of my pitching friends threw it the normal way, and when she threw the pitch, she stepped to the left of the power line and snatched her hips across. I threw it the lazy way. If I stepped like a normal inside...

I'm back again! Location for screw ball

Outside = to the left of the power line Inside = to the right of the power line. Basically, one PC taught me to throw a screw to a righty the same way your daughter does... Step left of the power line. Other PC taught me to always step inside (to the right of the power line). Sent from my...

I'm back again! Location for screw ball

Hey, y'all. Gotta question. Had two different PCs for a while because one was out with her baby. PC1 taught me to step outside and screw the ball in like normal (firm elbow, door knob spin). PC2 taught the screw ball location as follows: leap on inside of power line and screw the ball like...

    Opinions about leg slap

    Opinions about leg slap

My dad thought the same thing about me, that I'd stop because it hurt, but the opposite happened. I swear my nerves are literally shot in my left leg. It got to the point where I couldn't feel the slap any more. Lol. Hence, trying to figure out how to correct the issue in my youngster. Sent...

    Opinions about leg slap

Got it. I definitely slapped and that's what this girl is starting to do as well. I've always heard that the ideal is to have the glove whip behind the back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Opinions about leg slap

Out of curiosity, what is optimal? What is the opposite of the leg slap? All my pitcher friends seemed to do it, too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Opinions about leg slap

I've got a kid that has started slapping her leg on her release. I did this myself for years. PC tried to change it but ironically not doing it slowed my velocity down. Plus, it was just stuck. I've read where the slap tips hitters and others say it's not that big of an issue. Opinions? Sent...

Are there really leagues that draft completely from scratch every year?

Our rec leagues used to put every kid's name in a hat and literally pull names. They've moved to evaluations (pitching, fielding, hitting, throwing) and having a round table. Rec director issues players and then coaches get one trade off each. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Trying to learn IR - how far do I have to go?

Y'all have no idea how much of a relief it is to hear that. I thought I'd been doing it all wrong for years now and teaching mechanics wrong for a while too. Guess I'll have to come up with a better excuse for why I couldn't get more velocity. [emoji23] If I could put my finger on it, I might go...
