    DD will be 14U in Spring. Hits lefty and is a great bunter. When swings away tends to hit low liners right up the middle. her current bats are 2012 Catalyst 32-20 and a cold weather Nanotek.

    Sharing bats?

    Had a game last night. Few players came straight from field hockey and 2 girls left bat bags in the car as the mom drove off....2 players used my DD's bat and both had great days at the plate. Guess the whole sharing bat thing can be a good thing :) They can use it whenever they want from this...

    i went on my local craigslist and picked up a cheap composite bat to be used as our "team bat" Told my players if you don't have your own, you can use this. I also brought all my DD's older ones and made those available as well. Maybe you could ask the coach if HE could provide a team bat so...

    Sry guys, my laptop died while I was posting and that is what came out haha. I want to know what you all think is the best 2014/2015 leftover clearance bats to buy...supernova? Legit? Tsunami? Any others that fit the bill of a budget composite to kill as a team bat?

    Xeno vs. LXT

    My DD hated her Xeno, loves her friends LXT. Lefty who makes contact and hits it right up the middle. She is queen of the 1B, and master of the bunt :)

    Miken Halo light, Lousiville Slugger Zebra print bat, Demarini Bustos, Worth Storm are all good entry bats. The Miken and LS are composite, the Demarini and Worth are alloy.

    How long should a higher end bat last?

    my DD's 2012 Catalyst has a seen a ton of hits and it is still A-OK. Ball jumps off it, and no issue with the S1ID, or any rattles.

    Over the weekend at a Fall Ball game saw a 14U Rfer' completely misplay a liner and on the hop took it off the face, right between the eyes. Busted her open, but nothing broken...bet she wishes she was wearing one.

    When one of my players says "coach do i need to wear my cage?" I reply "YES". I would not be able to live with myself if a line shot harmed a child, and her cage was in her bat bag. My team rule, if you have it, you wear it. If parents don't like it, well there are other teams in town.
