Also - I have said my piece so no need to beat a dead horse. But using Augustana as an example I hope to make a point. Yes, Jenelle Trautmann ended up second on the all time homerun list so pretty easy to call her an outlier, a once in a generation hitter, an exception to the rule. But the pitcher who replaced her as the number one pitcher the last two years also hit. And there was nothing exceptional about her. Just a very very solid hitter that the coach wanted in the lineup. Happens all across the country at all levels.
