In practice for hitting.. Live or machine???
We have a vast variety of drills for hitting just curious how many people/coaches use pitching machines on a regular basis? I agree. It's a district thing. They are hoping you choose from the pool of girls in the district. They do NOT care weather that child has ever played or not. Yes, this is Tourney ball for the School District. They also have league that is a 10 game requirement in the spring( It's a NIGHTMARE). They require Rec League to help fill the teams. Thats the problem there are NO available girls to even work with in regards to pitching. I would be ok letting him keep his team but the player draft rule clearly states the top 6 must move up, 2 of the top 6 were pitchers. I would agree with helping the team however my girls feel betrayed as they along with all the other girls trying out found out by the younger kids that the Purple(below gold) team was already set. Team in a hitting slump!
I work with my girls every day and one of the twins was in a major slump. She battled out this weekend big time!! I have a righty and a lefty. 10U tourney coach used 12yr old in semifinal game.
