    Pitching coach called me tonight and thanked me for allowing DD to start catching her at lessons. Said it was going to be a tool for both of them and especially the pitcher to see the strike zone better.

    8U here in Arkansas they use either a USSSA or the ASA approved 11" softball, it's the same as the big ball just smaller to fit there hand.     I agree turf Ringors is the way to go with the pitching toe. I would stay away from 3n2 if you shop around DD has a pair wore them maybe twice and hates the fit.

    I would rather take the strike out than swing at bad pitches but when you learn the umpires you will know what they like and can tell the batters what adjustments to make.
