I just moved to Chicago, and of course softball is still a passion! I was wondering if there are any teams out here that could use a little assistance? Thanks guys :)
Understand not wanting to risk injury! I have gotten hit by my own pitchers multiple times. But my coaches loved to do live, it was better to see out of a pitchers hand and we could get our timing down for our upcoming games. We also did stand ins where we would not have a bat or anything just a...
Wow.. Yea it was a touchy subject while on the team we didn't get Per-diem if we ate out as a team but we got it when we went to airports we got at least 10-15$ I think the max is 25$ but if we are out as a team we didn't get that..we had diet restrictions as well kinda how you described but...
Not all receive meal cards, you only get a meal card if you live on campus and you are limited to spend a certain amount each week. If you move off campus they give your room and board to you in a stipend check which that money is where you pay for food and rent and that is if you have enough...
I 100% agree with you!!
We had a set schedule and your outside time is what you chose to do with it but the outside was for studying we didn't have time to work unless during off season which was for working out and getting focused on grades so yes I'm glad to see your point of view as this
I agree with what everyone is saying actually! It's funny because this is a huge debate now..and I'm on the fence about it! In college we had a contract to sign each year so you are not guaranteed 4 years..but it's kind of like your expecting to get re signed with the money you were promised for...
I used to have a focal point before I stepped into the batters box (the foul pole) so that I was not staring at something for to long, then as I got ready to watch the pitcher you watch the hip of the release point. I did a lot of drills to help pick up spin. My team and I did a lot of stand in...
I actually did a drill to specifically help with this.
Its a special tee that my coach made which was very cost effective. The whole objective of the tee is to swing through the ball if you chop at the ball you will hit the pole and break it like I did many times. What you need is 3 tees, PCP...
I have heard of that happening in travel ball but it has never really happened in college ball. My advice would not to purposely do it that it is so noticeable but make it part of the hitting routine to sweep the chalk!
