    Williams College

A 29 on the ACT sounds fairly low for Williams - probably the bare minimum nonly if accompanied by other impressive attributes (high grades, AP classes, outstading ECs, recommendations, etc.). Check out the Common Data Set for any school you might be interested in to get a look at the make-up...

    Williams College

Williams is a very competitive DIII school and the academics are top notch. Look at their roster and see how many players they have from CA. Even though they don't give athletic scholarships, they are clearly recruiting for softball and top tier academic students on a national level. As...

    Let’s talk about a backup/cage bat...

I would buy a Mako Torq or plain Mako for a cage bat. I have seen these on sale for as low as $89.00 and those Makos are quality bats and almost impossible to break. May feel a bit heavier than an LXT with the same drop but you could always go an ounce lighter with the Mako.

    Muhl Tech Balls

Was also looking into these Sklz Power Thru balls at 17oz each. Not sure which would be the better option. https://www.sklz.com/baseball/power-thru/PWRBL-100-04.html

    Muhl Tech Balls

Does anyone have an opinion on these Muhl Tech heavy balls for winter practice? https://www.muhltech.com/Muhl_Balls_p/mlbll.htm At 20 inches in circumference and 12 ounces they seem like a much better alternative than hitting deflated basketballs.

Tim Nolan and Pro Cut Weights

Does anyone know what happened to Tim Nolan or his company (Pro Cut) which was the maker of Pro Cut bat counter weights and the Woofin Stix? We found his products to be very effective but he and his company seemed to have dropped off the face of the earth.

    Looking for the Woofin Stix

Tim Nolan and his company seem to have dropped off the face of the Earth. He seemed like a good guy and very passionate about his products.

    Looking for the Woofin Stix

We have the Pro Cut weights as well and mostly use them in the off season to build strength and power. Can't find these anywhere on the web either. I had seen Tim Nolan at several coaching conventions in the Northeast a few years back but not sure he is still around selling these products.

    Looking for the Woofin Stix

Does anyone know how to obtain a Woofin Stix? This was a product produced by Tim Nolan, the maker of Pro Cut bat weights. It was a long plastic stick (like a PVC pipe) with a weighted handle which was designed to be swung quickly like a bat to increased bat speed. It was endorsed by Ralph...

    2016 vs 2017 LXT

My DD loves her 2016. I have seen some fairly good deals on the 2017. Just looking for some opinions on performance.

    2016 vs 2017 LXT

Does anyone have an opinion regarding the 2017 LXT as compared to the 2016 version. My DD has a 2016 LXT but the end cap is starting to go and I don't think it will make it through another entire season. Looking to see how the 2017 compares to the 2016. My DD loves the 2016 version.

    Bat Drag (Sort of)

rdbass: What do you suggest for teaching how to use the hands properly?

    Bat Drag (Sort of)

I like the idea of hitting with the bat resting on the shoulder. Turn the shoulders and break the wrists to arrive short to the ball. I think this would be a good drill to promote a better hand path. I am also going to try some work with the Insider Bat just to get the feel of some better...

    Bat Drag (Sort of)

Any suggestions on things to work on to try and fix this?

    Bat Drag (Sort of)

Below is a link to a video clip demonstrating what I am talking about. Any input on how to best address this would be most appreciated. https://youtu.be/enwsIRsMT88
