I have lived this one too. It took my daughter until she was 13 to start blocking consistently. good to see her hard work is about to start paying off.
Little League sent out an announcement that they were considering this last year. The league my kids play for sent out a email saying don't buy a composite bat until a ruling is made.

Basketball games are won and lost in the 4th quarter when you are tired. Running at the start of practice should be standard. Foul Shots should be the last thing done at practice when you are spent just like in the final seconds of a close game.
I going to offer my very unpopular opinion. The umps around here get paid $40 a game that most often have a 1 hour and 40 minute time limit. this makes it a decent paying job. If I screw up at work you better believe I'm going to hear about it so i see no reason why a coach can't let an ump know...
