Yes..when in clay she likes to dig in and have her rear foot slightly angled. She feels a better connection to the ground when loading around her rear hip. On turf she likes to have that mat to replicate that feeling since she cant dig in.
A few game swings from this last weekend showing scap pulling back against pretty good pitching. 1st pitcher - 62-63 mph, 2nd pitcher 55-56 mph.
Lately she is squaring pitches located in to CF, which I feel is good thing.
Just a general observation. It appears that when she keeps the bat more vertical at launch/go more back spin is created when squaring up pitches. When the bat is flatter at go/launch she gets more top spin. It makes sense. She just needs to experiment and find what degree of angle makes...
Here is DDs latest game swing. She was facing a pretty good pitcher throwing in the low 60s.
Swing seems pretty deep. What are your thoughts ?

Yes... I think Donaldson flattens like that as a reaction to the direction and magnitude that he tips. I think tipping in that direction with that amount of force may not work as well in softball because the swing plane is slightly different in softball. But tipping does definitely help create...
No particular reason. She has done that herself. She likes to pullback and feel a connection in her scap while in her stance and that seems to decrease the angle in her front arm. I have sort of let her just feel it out and do what feels right. She mainly focuses on staying relaxed while at...
