Sounds like practice might be too easy for her. Challenge her more in practice ie; faster, closer, hit the corners better. Try to expose her weaknesses in practice.- 42'sdad

10YO DD Batting Practice
Me and My DD loved this thread, I'm glad you revived it. There has been some real good discussion in here. My DD loves it because she likes to see the videos of other girls her age and the advice given to improve. We also sift thru it and take it to the cages to see what works or "clicks"...- 42'sdad

She doesn't have a hitting coach
1st year 10u means 8 and 9 year olds. When we have tryouts for this age team it's a bonus if they even know which end of the bat to hold!- 42'sdad

If you have a lot of girls that aren't working outside practice, then IMO the most important thing you can do for them in the time you have is work on their attitudes when going in the box, their mental approach to hitting. For any ASA tournaments you never know what they will check. It's best to be prepaird for anything. I aways have every player on my teams ASA cards and birth cirtificates, plus a picture that gets taken the first time they try out for us, and a sighned release. Rules Schmooles - Coach Team/Dugout/Parent etc. rules....who's got 'em?
One biggie I like to stress to my team, parents and coaches. Know your roll and stick to it. Meaning: Coaches coach. Players play, and people in the stands CHEER!! Know your roll and don't get em mixed up!!- 42'sdad

Your last statement is pretty bold and blanketed. I also have never been thrown out of a game, or even ever, been given a warning.
