Last week, I found a black 13” Mizuno glove sitting on the IF tarp after our practice.
Not wanting to leave it out in the open, I put it in the covered dugout.
Today, the first day the fields were re-opened after the mid-Atlantic got dumped on by the remnants of Ophelia, I found the glove - still in the dugout, but now on the floor of the equipment cage, where it seemed to be doing double duty as a sponge.
It’s not “wring it out” wet, but definitely heavier than it should be.
Any suggestions for next steps? Use glove cleaner now (while it’s already wet?), or let it dry first?
How to dry it? Air dry? Shove newspaper in the hand stall? Leave it on the car dashboard?
I don’t even know whose glove this is, but it was fairly new, so I think it’s a worthwhile project to try and save it.
Thx as always for the help.
