DD used to be fast and it caused her Issues. Her decision making was poor.

She is slow now but a great base runner, she makes decisions a second before her coaches.

I wish she would be fast again and still be smart.

That is too funny! A lot of girls lose some speed as they turn into women. Cross country is a sport that is full of freshmen all-conference runners who never run that fast again. I have talked to several college softball coaches who said they like to wait on recruiting the speedsters until they are 16. They want to know that the speed will remain!
