Our longest inning turned into the longest season. DD played 10U rec this season, and our team gave up the fewest hits, but also the most runs by far. First four games DD allowed only 4 hits, but 28 runs (no typo). My standing joke was that we couldn't beat ourselves in an inter squad game lol. It was paaaainful!!
Lol, I feel your pain. First year 10u rec for nine year old DD. She has given up one hit in 6 games and 18 innings - but 30 runs from walks and steals. 48 SO's, but she really hates the walks. :)

DS's 14U baseball game - pool play against pretty much the best hitting bunch of 14 year old boys I've ever seen. As I was sitting there it suddenly dawned on me, "dag nabbit, they can't do the step-off-the-base thing. We're going to be here all night". The 1/2 inning did come to a legitimate end... after 45 minutes and 15 runs. DD's 10U team used to run into lots of trouble - a good game was one in which the opposing team didn't have to "step off" to end innings.

Other creative ways to get out intentionally is a) to get picked off of the base or on the steal, b) batter steps on home plate when making contact with the ball, c) when ball is in play purposely get in a run down.
