If wristbands are done properly the batter knows 90% of the time what the call is once the number is called. Looking at the wristband is sometimes just for show.

People that think wristbands slow down the game or are complicated don't understand a proper setup. Sure there are teams that have no idea what they are doing with them but when done properly they are best practice imo.
Disagree……have made the game at a levels much longer…

One 3B coach my DD had would take over 10 seconds to signal his signs. Don't want to exaggerate, but our opponents waited until the metro championships before pointing out to umpires our batters were taking more than 10 seconds to be ready. Completely threw the 3B off his game on giving signs.

I'm pretty sure he was doing it on purpose to waste time.

i just watch the teams that use them and how long it takes. Consistently it's slower and takes more time. Maybe, they all don't know how the system works?
I think thats the main thing is people just dont know how it works. Teams that have it down and coaches that are on it with the calls work much quicker.
