Wonder how successful we could be at developing a guide to the various phrases, terminology used in the Hitting Technical forum?

Such as:

Coil
FbC: Forward by Coil
Maintain coil
Hips resisting
etc.

And the many other cues, terms, etc., used in the discussions.

I believe it would be great material for a database.

Good thought, but impossible IMO given that we've got a thread going where the definition of "hips" is the hot topic

Just as an example:
Term: Hip
Definition:
a projection of the pelvis and upper thigh bone on each side of the body in human beings.
Implication:
That part of the anatomy used in discussion of hip coil.
Term: Hip Coil
Definition:
Winding or twisting of the hips away from the pitcher and towards the catcher
Implication:
Loading of the lower half ....
Term: Hip Loading
etc., ...

Just an example. In a spreadsheet or database, of course. I'll bet it already exists. If not, I'm almost positive FFS, et al, has the raw data to populate it.

ahhh, but you've left out the most important part: are the hips understood to be the bottom of the top half, or the top of the bottom half? ;)
