Velco is great on gloves when properly adjusted and left alone. I have 30 year old gloves and the velcro is still in great shape. Girls are always fooling with the velcro and its rarely adjusted right. Girls like their fingers jammed into the stalls and the velcro cinched tight. That's not how you wear a ball glove. This is how you wear a glove

Id assume you are joking. Unless you have 10 inch fingers Ive never seen anyone wear a glove halfway off their hand.

Okay, I can agree with everything you just said.......but for me personally, can't stand the stuff and I'll never own a glove with Velcro other than my CMW3000 with I had no choice in the matter!

That pic 625 posted is pretty extreme but he's actually right (sorta). I like about one inch (1") of my palm to be outside, or below the heel of the glove.

That's much easier to do wearing a glove TIP, you'd have to have gigantic hands to do that wearing a glove traditional.

I have no idea how I used to wear mine when I played but Omar seems to agree with you.

Great picture Omar is a Silverback there. Was that from a clinic?

Omar is a wizard and a great guy. That's about all he can have out of that glove. He has very small hands. If memory serves he always wanted 10.5" glove built. I cant tell what he's wearing there

Late in his career I think.

What does Omar know? He's an old Ozzie wannabe! ;)

****I just never understood why Vizquel never got the highest recognition he deserved, to this day probably THE best hands to ever play the game!
Probably because he played most of his career in a league which had good/great hitting SS (but inferior fielders..)

You catch and field with your fingers. If you look in the catching section. A lot of people complain about catchers thumb. I always give the same answer. Learn how to catch. The further your hand goes into the glove the more separation you have between your thumb and index finger. It causes stiffness and injury. Most elite players don't want heel padding in their glove because it slows them down
