Due to finances etc. my DGD is not able to play TB this year. She was on a top level 12u "A" team last year. She has been asked to play "up" on a 14U rec team for 5 tournaments this summer. The level of play will be poor at best. She has never pitched but will be one of the 2 pitchers on the team. How can she use this experience to get positive results and not regress as a player?

Just let her have fun. My 15 YO (then) dd wasn't going to play rec ball last year, but was convinced when several of the others from the HS team decided to play. Best season of her career. Won state in dixie and went to the World Series in Louisiana. Those girls had more fun playing than they ever had.
