If weight shift is so important then there is no way Soto should be able to hit. Mankin claimed weight shift wasn’t important and I didn’t agree. Maybe he was right.

There’s a shift. He has said that he works on staying ‘back’ due to hitting too much out front when he’s bad. But the pelvis does get forward.

Not much shift, there might be a little shift caused by the swing. There isn’t a forward shift like Hank Aaron.

Yeah it’s a much smaller stride/shift but he shifts the pelvis before he slots to swing.

Obviously he is making an adjustment in the first swing. Not sure what the outcome or pitch speed as they played the swings side by side, not synced though.

So, is he shifting to swing or is the swing creating the shift?

I’m a shift then swing guy. BH has very little shift here as well.
