Well, it happened. The school that my DD had dreamed of attending for the last 2 years did not turn out to be the college experience that she had hoped it would be. There are many different reasons, but strict COVID restrictions had a huge part to play in the level of satisfaction with the campus, housing, and softball program. It was an incredibly difficult, painful decision for her as she's highly committed, but I believe DD made the best decision for her own well being. And, thanks to her incredible travel ball coach, she was able to find a spot with another college within a couple of days. The new college does have COVID precautions in place, but students are allowed onto campus to interact a little more. So, this is my "attitude of gratitude" post that I am so grateful for her coach, and grateful DD can stand up for herself and take ownership of her college experience.
